Jim and Kristy Yozamp - Owner and Interior Designer

Jim and Kristy.jpg

Jim and Kristy Yozamp grew up in Eugene Oregon, and after high school and college, started their family in the Portland area buying homes in the late 80’s, improving them and building their personal homes as a family. They turned that personal passion of design and building into a business in the mid 90’s, starting with a home in Camas Washington and then a year or two later in Central Oregon, with the design and construction of a custom home in Sunriver.

Jim’s family had an architectural background in the Midwest and Kristy always had a knack for interior finishes. With their combined backgrounds, they started building custom homes as speculative projects as they transitioned the family to Central Oregon. After managing many custom homes and building the business, they were quickly commissioned to build custom homes throughout Central Oregon and developed Pacwest Builders, including a design center and transitioning to a full service design/build firm.

Jim and Kristy enjoy spending time with their two adult children and their new little granddaughter!

Spencer Williams - Architect and Owner

Spencer.jpg

Spencer was born in Eugene, OR, but his family moved to Roseburg when he was 1. He spent his formative years in Roseburg, camping, playing sports, and playing in the river with friends and his younger brother.

After high school, Spencer spent a year in Bend, working at Mt. Bachelor and snowboarding as much as possible before returning to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon. In 2005, with a Bachelor’s of Architecture degree in hand, he returned to Bend with his soon to be wife, Emily, to start their careers. He was lucky enough to be hired by Steve Van Sant and started working for Pacwest as a drafter and is now a licensed architect in the state of Oregon.

When not working, Spencer enjoys camping, Mt. Biking, snowboarding, and hiking with his wife, two kids, and their dog. He is also passionate about homebrewing beer, which he has been doing since he was 15 years old.

Blair Davis - Designer

Blair-Bio-Pic.jpg

Prior to moving to Bend, Blair spent the majority of his life living in the Willamette Valley, specifically Salem. For generations, his family has been a part of Oregon’s developing infrastructure, from City Managers, Civil & Structural Engineers. You could say it’s in his blood.

Blair received his Bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University in the fall of 2013. He studied Interior Design with emphasis in Housing Design. Blair is also accredited as a Sustainable Homes Professional (SHP) for best practices of green building envelope, and reducing long term energy waste.

In May of 2014, Blair moved to Central Oregon to find the perfect foundation to establish his career. He is now thrilled to be working with Pacwest and designing homes for the surrounding Central Oregon area.

When Blair and his wife, Jen are not working, they like to go hiking, camping, snow shoeing, and snowboarding. Being a 90’s kid, Blair has a large knowledge of Disney, model railroading, and, as a musician, has a great interest in music.

Joanie Cooper Pence - Controller

Joanie Cooper Pence grew up in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and moved to Central Oregon in the late 80’s.

She has worked in accounting her entire work life and specifically construction accounting the last 18 years, of which 15 years have been working for Pacwest.

One of her idols is Judge Judy……beware! As of late, she enjoys ZUMBA, gardening (to a serious degree), and striving to be as healthy as possible.

Roverta Koenig - Accounting Assistant

Roverta.jpg

Roverta grew up on a dairy farm in rural SW Minnesota. In ’89 she ventured west and ended up in Bend, landing a job with a resort/property management company. Central Oregon is where she met her husband and where they raised their two children.

Verta worked a few different positions with this company for 29 years but the majority of her work history has been in the accounting department. In 2019 she joined the Pacwest team where she works as the accounting assistant. Verta handles the day to day office duties and all hands-on tasks necessary.

The whole family loves the outdoors and spends most of their free time taking full advantage of all of the adventures Central Oregon has to offer.

Tye Farnsworth - Operations Manager

Tye was born and raised in central Oregon and lives on a small farm in Powell Butte with his wife of 25 years and two young daughters. They also have two adult sons who keep giving them grandchildren.

While attending Redmond high school, he began his construction career, starting as a laborer and working his way up to lead carpenter. Over the years, he has done residential remodels, built new homes, as well as building commercial buildings.

While not supervising the construction side of Pacwest or working his farm for fun (and poverty), he enjoys hunting, camping, and back-country horse trips with his family. He also volunteers at “Wilderness Lakes Retreat”, which is a faith-based camp in the Mt. Jefferson National Forest for all ages.

Steve Grabenhorst - Project Manager

Steve was born and raised on the Oregon coast in Lincoln City. He moved to the drier side of the mountains, landing in Bend in 1987 where he and his supportive and encouraging wife, Michelle raised their son, who is now an adult.

In addition to being a nice guy, he has spent his whole life in the Oregon building industry, including 17 years as a licensed residential contractor. He is also a master carpenter, which means he is well suited to help out the elderly or other friends who can’t wield a hammer, but have a need. His motto is, “Do what’s right, not what’s easy.”

When not working or helping others, Steve enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether it’s big game or upland bird hunting, hiking, or small acre farming, he enjoys exploring lesser known places in Oregon.

Mike Chavez - Project Manager

Mike was born, raised, and survived in Los Angeles through High School. After graduation, Mike and his family started a trucking company. After 5 years building the company into a successful warehousing and distribution company, Mike got the itch to travel and broaden his horizons.

With his surfboard, wax, and a backpack, he headed out for adventure. After traveling the world and experiencing different cultures, he met his wife, Gina and they settled down in Tumalo. They have three daughters and three grandkids, all of whom conveniently live in Central or Eastern Oregon.

Mike has a broad construction background with 22 years of construction supervision/project management, 12 years as a licensed tile contractor, and 6 years as a licensed masonry contractor.

Kim Goin - Project Manager

Kim was born and raised in Ontario Oregon. In 1999, he moved to Redmond and has been in Central Oregon ever since, living in Terrebonne since 2006.

For most of his life, Kim has been involved with some aspect of construction. He has been a residential builder in Oregon for 30 years as well as running residential and commercial projects in Idaho and Alaska.

In his free time, Kim enjoys gardening, traveling, hunting, and fishing. As of this writing, Kim is engaged to be married and has two adult daughters.  He also has a cocker spaniel, Serenity, who has been his “job dog” for 15 years.

Brian Garcia - Clean-up and Laborer

Brian.jpg

Brian’s family moved to Central Oregon in 2000 from Los Angeles. The move stuck and he has been an Oregonian ever since. Brian has a young family with two sons, who love spending time with their dad.

While attending college, Brian worked a variety of jobs and ended-up working part time clean-up at Pacwest. He decided to come on full-time and in addition to the general job-site clean-up role, Brian also helps out in many ways, including digging ditches, hauling material in wheel-barrows, and swinging a sledge-hammer.

When not working, Brian enjoys visiting with friends and family. You can often find him napping with his 3-month old or flying kites with his 7-year old.

Brad Manalatos - Jobsite Clean-up and Equipment Manager

Brad.jpg

Brad grew up and went to college in the Los Angeles area, moving to Bend in 1994, where he has lived ever since. He married his soulmate in 2015 and they have since bought their first home in Deschutes River Woods.

After working many different trades, he landed in his position as part of the Pacwest team in 2013. He enjoys his job and considers his co-workers family.

Brad and his wife are active in the community, volunteering at “Shepard's House Ministries” and helping others to overcome addictions. They are also very involved with their church and love to travel, as well as taking advantage of the many outdoor activities here in Central Oregon.
